I made these earlier in the year for the embroidery show at Gallery Hanahou, now they're available in my shop. :)little dear
Gorgeous! I am a big fan of your work, especialy your embroidery! I loooved your book and got it as soon as it came out ; ) I had a question or two... what kind of fabric do you use when you are going to stretch it around a canvas? what kind of fabric did you use for these kaledeiscope pieces? Also, is there a web site you know of that sells the wooden frame with no canvas on it? I have been buying canvas's from the craft stores and ripping the canvas off! Its not budget freindly ; )Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you and I hope you continue sharing your art with us forever!~Jacqui
thanks so much Jacqui! :) I just use regular cotton fabric, like quilter's cotton. You can get canvas stretcher strips at Dick Blick, http://www.dickblick.com/categories/stretcherstrips/in about any size you want. I sometimes mix and match them to get the measurements I need. Also, you can embroider on the canvas you remove, I've done that too. ;)
Ooh that's a great idea! Ive saved the pieces of canvas because I just cant bear to throw them out.. Glad I did : ) Thank you so much!
Thanks for your comments! I love hearing from you! :)
