I have loved your art, design and doodle embroidery book (I look at it more than is normal). Then, today, I find out that you collect stickers! swoon. I love them too! I sometimes worry that at 35 years old I may have some sort of arrested development. Arguing with my children over stickers and not sharing my little re-ment toys. But I feel so much better knowing that there are others out there like me. This gives me the strength to carry on (ha!). It's just these little bits that bring me joy. I remember going to Coach House as a child. They had row after row of stickers. They were the only store around that had that 4 sided rack of Hello Kitty goodness. Oy, the time I spent in that store. I still insist on a stop to Sanrio whenever I am in Chicago and I still get a thrill when they tape the little goodie to the outside of my package! Thanks for sharing yours on Etsy. I remember quite a few of them and fear I may need to start a collection!
ReplyDeletethanks so much!! ^_^ It makes me feel better too, to know there are people out there who like the same silly things I like! :D thanks for commenting!
ReplyDeleteAimee...I totally LOVED my sticker collection. Do you have the puffy ones with the liquid irridescent stuff inside? I had quite a few of those as they were my favorites. I specifically remember a dolphin and some stars. I also recently came upon some Garbage Pail kid cards "Heavin Heather" was one I saved because my name is Heather and I also found a few Smurfs. Ah the 80's I miss it. I still have my Cabbage Patch dolls too. Thanks for sharing. I also saw a link for your new book that is coming out soon. I can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather! I do have a few of those liquidy ones, they're called oilies! those are cool. :) I miss the 80s too. well, the toys anyway. ;D
