Tell me if you've ever tried any of these techniques and what you thought of it!

I love your other books! If I win one (or eventually buy one) it looks like I'll have to decide to shelve it with my embroidery books or my felt books. I have a bunch of both since they are my favorite mediums.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway and the inspiration, Sarah Marie
Congratulations! This looks like a great book
ReplyDeleteWow, What an amazing giveaway. I've never done any of these techniques, just basic embroidery. Would love to win this!
ReplyDeleteCongrats with your book. I would love to win a copy of your book.
ReplyDeleteI only did simpel stitching on felt and normal crosstitching. ( a winnie the pooh alfabeth when I was pregnant from my second boy in 1999. ) it would be so amazing to learn more from your techniques.
Liefs, Melanie
I love the 'sneak peek' photo of the birds with the little nest! The basics section would be very helpful - it's been a while since I've done any embroidery! I'd love to learn more :)
ReplyDeleteFrom your list, I only know about cross stitch. Obviously, I need to read your book! :)
ReplyDeleteI love stitching and would so enjoy this book!
ReplyDeletecongrats! The matryoshka looks very sweet. I've done some embroidery and cross-stitch, nothing very adventurous...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on bringing a new book into the world!! How very exciting. I've checked out "Doodle Stitching" from my library more times than I can count. I'd love a chance to win this one! Your designs are adorable. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I love your work SO much - thank you for all the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI have dabbled in cutwork and done lots of cross stitch. The sashiko is something I have never tried but will soon as I like the rhythm of the stitches. Your books are always so bright and cheerful, I would love to win this one. The sweet matryoshka doll would be my first project!

The color of their impact on the world... beautiful colors...
ReplyDeleteI am just not sure how you find the time to be able to write a book with all the other crafty bits and peices you do!! But congratulations on doing so and would love this book in my collection.
ReplyDeleteAt the risk of repeating what everyone else has said...your newest book looks adorable. And as to the stitches, you show some I've never seen. Would love the opportunity to win your book. :) Dishy!
ReplyDeleteI've done a lot of cross-stitch but I'd love to learn to embroider and do crewel too. I'd love to win your book and thank you for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteMarie
Aimee - so nice of you to give away a copy of your new book. I have been seeing Sashiko everywhere and can't wait to try it. Would love to have your book. I still refer to your first one time and again. :D
ReplyDeleteI love Embroidery and it would be great to learn some new techniques.
ReplyDeleteHello Aimee,
ReplyDeleteI just love all of your designs, they are great! I would love to win a copy of your book! Take care and have a great day.
Aloha Aimee!
ReplyDeleteI've been itching to get into embroidery and those mushrooms!!! They're just too cute :3
I'm really happy that I found your blog :D it's very inspiring.
Whitni
I've got all your other embroidery books so would love to have this one as well!
ReplyDeleteI haven't really tried any of those stitches; thus, why I want your book! ^_^
This looks super duper fabulous! If you ever make a clone of yourself and have lots of time on hand, you should start an online embroidery school. I'd sign up!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done embroidery since high school (almost 40 years), but I am getting back into it. There are so many felt craft on Pinterest that I want to make and I need to brush up on my embroidery skills. I would LOVE to have your book, and it would be in time for my April birthday too. :-)
ReplyDeleteHurray! A new book!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great and I really, really want it. I use my other books weekly. Sometimes just for inspiration but also to look how to make that one stitch I have in mind... ♥
As a beginner, I would love to win a copy of that book. I really liked sashiko style and also tried it once, but what I'm in love with is this floral embroidery (don't know its name, is in the bottom of the last photo). Really, really beautiful and optimistic :)
ReplyDeleteI've taught myself to embroider with Doodle Stitching so I could mix in some thread and texture into my drawings, it's so much fun to embroider paper! I'd love to learn new stitches and techniques and your second book looks just as lovely and helpful as the first one.

OMG I would so LOVE to win this! I have been machine sewing all my life but only recently got into hand sewing and embroidery and have absolutely fallen for it. I don't even go anywhere anymore without my needle and threads, and everyone thinks I have gone "away with the fairies" LOL! xx
ReplyDeleteYour book looks lovely! I would love to win a copy :D
ReplyDeleteI really like your work and have been admiring it for quite a while. I didn't know you also authored books! That's pretty neat!
I am still fairly new to embroidery and would love to try any of the techniques mentioned (except cross-stitching - wait, maybe I should try cross-stitching sometime to see if I can get over my dislike...)
Anyway, if I should win this would be my first embroidery-related book and hopefully the start of a nice collection.
Fingers crossed!
Thanks for a chance to win.
Liefs, Audrey
Congrats on the book release! I'd love to try some of these techniques. I once had a book on crewel, but the designs in it weren't really to my taste. That is as close as I've come to trying other stitching techniques in the embroidery family.
ReplyDeleteJust the book I've been looking for to get out of a stitching rut. I have tried color tinting based off of your tutorial on your site, and while I need more practice I was pleased with the initial result.
ReplyDeleteI love cross-stitch, but I've never tried any of the other techniques, although I want to!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great book... just what I need. I just have returned to doing embroidery & need lots of help & inspiration. Your site has been very helpful as well. Thanks
ReplyDeleteYour book looks great. I'd love to give it to my daughter to encourage her to embroider.
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous! Congratulations on your release!
ReplyDeleteI love your other book I have. I do a lot of cross stitching but also enjoy embroidery to dress up kids clothes.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try Shisha, I tried crewel and moths ate the yarn before i finished. Done Cross Stitch and i think i'm a little freer living than cross-stitch allows. Have Sashiko by machine and am looking forward to doing by hand, I did Stumpwork and loved it but it is not for me for all the time, just occasionally, Did very little cutwork using my sewing machine, tried cutwork as a child (yep, that is what it looked like) but my granny loved it.
ReplyDeleteNew books looks wonderful. Scarlette Hobbs shobbs@scarlette.com

ReplyDeleteWow! Such beautiful things to make - I would love to try everything out! So inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThank you for being so generous. I would have to say I've only tried applique and cross stitching as well as basic embroidery and some ribbon embroidery, but nothing too fancy.
ReplyDeleteOh, Aimee! I love your books, and I LOVE your name! You are so clever! I have dabbled in embroidery, and plan to do ever so much more! Thanks for a chance to win a copy!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so excited for your new book! I started embroidery because of your second book. I love them so much but I've really only done basic embroidery.
