This one was about 2 inches high, a first rough thumbnail in my sketchbook.
Here is phase two, a larger, more finished sketch. From here, I scanned and sized this drawing to the size I wanted to it stitch at, then printed it out and transferred it to fabric.
I tried to stay within a limited color palette this time, and used a few colors I haven't used before, new blues and golds.
I've been wanting to do a nautical themed pattern for awhile now and I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. I hope you like it too.
