Here is a peek inside:
My awesome editor, Kathy Sheldon and I compiled the 15 different jewelry artists for this book and they each created some wonderful things! Many of the projects incorporate nature elements and you will be inspired just flipping through the pages.
Does this look like fun? You're in luck, I'm giving you a chance to win a free copy, along with this set of three of my projects from the book! Included are a clay and felt Nest pin, embroidered fabric scrap necklace and hand painted clay and bead Robin necklace.

I have made a few of my own jewelry pieces. I love making embroidered brooches. Thank you for this opportunity. I have your other three book, so I NEED this one!

I have embroidered designs from your other books and framed them in small jewelry frames and hung on a chain and given as gifts to daughters friends. They are hit. The hardest part is picking one of you designs as they are all adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the earrings and am in the process of making a necklace and bracelet set with feathers. ;P I used to make jewelry for a living.
ReplyDeleteI've made horsehair bracelets and bead jewelry. Love your other three books. Would love to have this one too!
ReplyDeleteOh, forgot to leave you my email: steph@mahorse.com.
DeleteI used to work at a bead store and always loved to make things and have people bring in their projects to show me. I love seeing what can be done with just a little creativity and supplies. I have one of your books and love to use the embroidery patterns to embellish simple everyday items.
ReplyDeleteWow stunning & very inspiring. I used to make jewellery with beads and embroidery floss friendship bracelets. I make crochet jewelry now as well as some beads on the crochet jewelry. Thank you for the chance!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to own this book and accessories. I love making wool and fabric jewelry.

I LOVE that little robin necklace! Too adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe jewelry I've made has been all beaded, and doesn't consist of too many pieces; a necklace and a brooch. Maybe this book would be the inspiration I need to try some other techniques...
I love the feathered earrings and the map ring, but sadly I have never made a full piece of jewelry. I made miniature Totoro charms out of polymer clay but never got around to putting them on anything
ReplyDeleteI have made some of my own jewelry. I started when I was just a girl with friendship bracelets. :-) Lately I've made a few pairs of water colored earrings for myself and my mom as Christmas gifts. Thanks so much for the chance! The projects in the book look like a lot of fun, and most are things I've never tried before!
ReplyDeleteHi! I have made my own jewelry both as a kid out of necessity, I would tear apart old hand me down jewelry and make my own "cool" jewelry, and now as an adult I still make my own. Mostly earrings, a few necklaces, and some very small attempts at wire wrapping. You can see pics on my blog scattered throughout the posts about all the other crafts I do. Thanks for the chance to win. I love your jewelry, and would love to have the book and the jewelry, that nest pin makes me swoon.

I have made earrings I cut out shapes painted and modge lodged them. Then hot glued earring backs and barette clips to them. I did third frequently several years ago. Thank you for the chance to r
ReplyDeleteEnter to win your book. How exciteing.
Most of my jewelry making was done as a young girl. My dad would buy bags of costume jewelry at flea markets and pick out the items that were the most valuable and then let us girls (me and me three sisters) have the rest to play dress up and to create our own jewelry. We would string the beads or put together "pop beads" for hours. I still have a lot of that jewelry but now its worth something. Lots of rhinestone broaches etc, jet beads, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I can even enter, since I won your Doodle Stitching book...which is amazing BTW, but I wanted to comment anyway.
ReplyDeleteI've been making jewelry since I was in middle school, a million years ago. It's my go-to craft. I love working with natural stones and precious metals, but I also love antique glass and lamp work beads. Bracelets are the easiest, since they don't use many beads, but I love wearing long necklaces.
I am loving your necklaces you posted and can't wait to get this book.
Thanks!
I have made a few small pieces in the past. Earrings and necklaces mostly. This book looks absolutely lovely, and I can already tell I would make many of the projects in it!

I would love to win this one. I like wearing quirky jewelry, but making it is not my forte. I love stringing beads, so that is my go to technique
ReplyDeleteI loooove the little birdie necklace! Soooo adorable!
ReplyDeleteI did some beading, made a few felted brooches and I do take apart bought stuff just so I get the lovely beads. Also tried some wire wrapping. This book looks lovely and I'd just love to have it at home. That little fox pendant is so cute! Thank you for the opportunity.
I've only ever made necklaces. I was a big fan of seed beads when I was a teenager. I'm actually about to use some of your Doodle Stitching motifs to make my friend's little girl's 3 year-old birthday present - a felt statement necklace with an elephant, a robot and an owl - her three favorite things.
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute! I do make my own jewellery. I started when I couldn't find what I wanted for my daughter's wedding. I use metals and beads. I also made some embroidered necklaces like the one for my friend here: http://inlovewiththreads.wordpress.com/2012/01/27/30/ (Scroll down to the bottom.) It's in the encrusted style that I like.

I've actually only made one piece of jewelry, a custom order I got from etsy. It was so much easier than I thought it would be! I really should make more, but it's not the first hobby I gravitate towards - I should definitely grab a copy of your book, it would probably help give me a boost of inspiration ♥♥
ReplyDeleteI love love LOVE your books! Keep them coming. I've made beaded strung jewelry. The feather earrings look so fun to try.
ReplyDeleteI have made a few pieces of jewelry before. Mostly beaded necklaces and earrings and also "friendship bracelets" out of embroidery thread. Would love to try some different things out of the book!

I love making my own jewelry! I just learned kumihimo, but I feel like I've done a little bit of everything. Beading, wire jewelry, macrame, etc. I'd love to have a copy of your book! valerie.kelly.dance@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI have made some of my own jewelry and in some cases retooled a new piece or pieces to suit my needs. I have enjoyed your other books so this one seems quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteI have only made a few pieces of jewelry before. I often will fix antique pieces, although I do have a large pile of repairs that need to be done soon. But I would love to make more personalized jewelry. This looks like a great book.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've made different types of jewelry, starting with using curler wire to make earrings back when I was in high school! I've made lots of beaded earrings, necklaces, and bracelets; a gorgeous large gem wire-wrapped cocktail ring (took a class for it!); brooches out of shrinky dink plastic and felt; beaded and stitched brooches; I always love to try different things - sometimes using different types of "crafts" to make up something special. I know I'm too late for your first giveaway, but if you should have another - WOW, would I love to win your newest book of jewelry-making!!! I am a fan of your work and your books!!!

Hi, the jewelry I've made has been mostly from beads. I have little experience with other material. I wish to learn more techniques
ReplyDeleteI've made beaded crochet flower pendants for necklaces and beaded crochet bracelets.
ReplyDeleteI have made a few pieces. Mainly beaded necklaces, but I be thrilled to learn some new techniques!
ReplyDeleteI would love this book!! I have recently been inspired to try my hand at jewelry making this summer. As part of my healing from the death of my husband I gotten back in touch with my creative side. This summer while staying at The Crystal Cove Beach cottages at Crystal Cove State Park in Ca, there was a man who comes once a week to teach sea glass jewelry making. Well, I got hooked, bought his cd and have since made a bracelet ad necklace set for my Mom's 82nd birthday and other items. Then I went on to fix a stone necklace I had in a bag for 15 years. I am trying my hand at wire jewelry now as well. I am getting ready to work with a hand work group at our Waldorf inspired public Charter school and would love this book to use.
ReplyDeleteThe book looks great! Very Inspirational I think.
ReplyDeleteI have made lots of jewellery; I use to make beaded jewellery and lately I've been experimenting with felt.
Thanks for the chance to win!
