  3. Congratulations on the new book, I can't wait to see it!

I have a plan to make this great 3-tiered herb garden I saw in Martha Stewart's magazine. Basil, thyme, oregano, cilantro (maybe... I need to check up on how that grows), rosemary, chives, maybe some mint. And not only will it be great to have all those herbs for cooking, but the garden itself looks so pretty!

  9. My 10 year old daughter and I planted a "fairy garden." Complete with a little couch for curling up and chatting and a colorful windmill. We are planning a fairy garden party for her friends. We check the garden every moring for "fairy dust" but so far we haven't seen any. Those little fairies certainly like to be sneaky.

  25. Congrats! Here in Northern California I planted all sorts of goodies- tomatoes, strawberries, peas, beans, peppers, lettuce, squash, spinach, watermelon, corn. After a few years I'm finally getting the hang of how much to plant for everything so that i don't end up with too much of one thing-tomatoes :) and not enough of everything else. of course right after i planted we had a few freak hail storms so hopefully the seeds make it!
thanks for the chance to win, you rule!

  26. All of these Pretty Little X books look so adorable. I love your little woodland keychains. Adorable!

Our last frost date is the end of May, so we have planted the early spring crops already - lettuces, spinach, and peas - and I've seed started things like various herbs and cucumbers. We'll plant pole beans (direct sow) and tomatoes (purchasing seedlings from farmer's market) in June. We use the square foot gardening method, and we have 3 boxes that are each 2'x8'. We have some other things that I'm blanking on now. And we have a berry patch with strawberries, raspberries and high-bush blueberries. We need to plant some more strawberry plants, but we'll do that in June too.

    Love my garden! So exciting!
