I have nearly enough scrap squares now for the top of my kind sized quilt I'm making (nothing for the bottom yet) and I'm already planning what the next one (two? three?) will be! is that bad? Here is some awesome quilt inspiration from flickr, I'm especially loving the ticker tape and yoyo ones, they seem simple and fun to put together. I don't know that I'll ever be a "real" quilter, I barely have enough math in my brain to run a calculator, I don't think I can tackle all those fancy geometrical patterns. I'm in total awe of those who do! :)

  1. Stop with that "real quilter" stuff! There are lots of types of quilters, all real. Traditional, contemporary and many iterations. You will find one that fits if you want. You already are a fab embroiderer and painter, and art quilting encompasses both those... so while you may say you wish you could do traditional patterns (I am sure you could learn given time and energy) you may NOT say anything about not being a real anything. Okay, stepping down from my soapbox....

  2. aw, thanks Kim!! I do so many different things, it's hard for me to really master any of them! I LOVE just playing around though, and coming up with my own techniques and style. :)
