Friday funspiration: Gypsy wagons

Gypsy wagons
In honor of my newest finished embroidery pattern, today's inspiration is Gypsy wagons! (I couldn't resist putting my own little stitchy version in here too. ;)
Also called caravans or vardos, these little horse drawn wagons were traditionally used by the Romani people for living on the road. I love the way they are so brightly colored and decorated, and contain a perfect tiny living space inside. I want one! :)

You can find my new embroidery pattern at my shop: www.littledear.etsy.com

  2. Hi Aimee,

Your wagon is so beautiful. I've been wanting to try out embroidery for a while. I'm just afraid of the commitment and not being able to finish once I start. How long did it take you to do your wagon? Being a beginner, I know it'll take me twice as long ;)

  3. Thanks guys!
Entheos: I'm not sure how long it took me, I worked on it off an on over a several months. The pattern is pretty simple linework though, you could make it easier by not including all of the extra, double lines that I did here. :)
